Oslo

View Misión Española on wotzisname's travel map.

You first get the impression that Oslo is going to be expensive when you use the cash point in the airport and realise that one of the default options of 7000 NOK is approx 700 GBP, nearly three times your daily card limit. Emerging from the train station by the national theatre my next impression was that Oslo was beautiful. The escalators lead up to a beautiful square with a fountain surrounded by trees. Just behind you is the castle set in a beautiful park full of mature trees. The short walk to the hotel is along a tree lined avenue.
Oslo is a small city, at least the centre of town is. Nothing is more than 20 minutes from anything else, and everything is centred around a central boulevard of trees and fountains where groups of young and old hang out and enjoy the sunshine.
